Specialist consultants from Whangārei Hospital hold a variety of regular clinics at Dargaville Hospital’s Outpatients Department. Consultants are from services including medical/cardiac, medical/diabetes, medical/elderly, obstetrician/gynaecologist, orthopaedic, paediatrics, podiatrist, psychiatrist, psychologist and surgical.
Specialist radiologists also carry out scans, including echocardiograms and ultrasounds by appointment only.
Patients are referred to an outpatient clinic by their own GP or by follow-up from hospital care. There is no charge for the service for NZ citizens or permanent residents. Proof of eligibility will be required.
