Cancer screening

Cancer screening looks for signs of cancer in people who do not have symptoms. It helps spot cancers at an early stage. Regular screening increases your chance of detecting cancer early.

Bowel screening

60 to 74 year olds

The National Bowel Screening Programme is a free programme to help detect bowel cancer. It is offered every 2 years to help find bowel cancer at an early stage.

Breast screening

45 to 69 year olds

If you are between ages 45 and 69 find out about getting a free mammogram with BreastScreen Aotearoa every 2 years.

Cervical screening

25 to 69 year olds

If you are between ages 25 and 69 find out about getting cervical screening in Aotearoa New Zealand.
