Explore your way to wellbeing during Mental Health Awareness Week

It's Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW).

The celebration of mental wellbeing is run annually by Mental Health Foundation in over 150 countries at different times of the year.

This year kiwis across Aotearoa are being asked to explore their way to wellbeing, to discover the things that make them feel good and to do more of them. When people uplift their personal wellbeing, they uplift the wellbeing of their whānau, communities and Aotearoa as a whole.

In the Eastern Bay a series of events are planned starting with a hikoi from Pohaturoa rock in Whakatāne to the Heads at 10.30 this morning. For a full list of what's planned click here.

Tauranga will be hosting its very own Fluro Fest this Sunday at Tay Street Beach Reserve, Mt Maunganui, from 1-4pm. The free event includes Tauranga Samba Band, 3D sand artist Jamie Harkins, music, volleyball, beach tennis, giant jenga, happy bus, treasure dig and more.
