Paediatrics Occupational Therapist
Whakatane
1.0 FTE (80 hours per fortnight)
When did you last wear shorts to work?
Here in Whakatane in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty, the answer is nearly always yesterday.  With average summer temperatures between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius, and one of the highest ratios of sunshine hours per year in the whole of New Zealand, it is easy to see why.
Living in the Bay of Plenty offers unrivalled lifestyle opportunities and some of the most spectacular beaches in the world. And the mild winters mean you can enjoy this lifestyle all year round.  Add to this the superb schools, amenities and affordable housing it is hard to think of a reason not to live here yourself.  We are offering you the opportunity to do just that.
We have an upcoming opportunity for an experienced Children’s Community Occupational Therapist, based at Whakatane, to help the Child Development Team continue to provide a high quality, client-focussed service to the Eastern Bay.  Full time (80 hours per fortnight) - come and join our team and enjoy a highly varied caseload with the opportunity to be involved in service development.
You will work as part of an established multi-disciplinary team, providing a range of services to clients in their own homes and within a hospital outpatient setting.  Full driving licence, relevant post-graduate experience, NZ registration and practicing certificate are the formal requirements – passion, teamwork and commitment to proving a quality service will complete the picture.
In return, we would be pleased to offer a competitive salary, ongoing training opportunities and paid membership of the New Zealand Association of Occupational Therapists.  To help you settle, we also offer 2 weeks paid accommodation on arrival.
