A vacancy exists for a Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly Pharmacy Team at Whakatane Hospital.

The hours will be 32 hours per week by negotiation, but between the hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties will include:

Inpatient & outpatient dispensing
Assisting with imprest medication supply service
Assisting with inventory management.
General pharmacy administration.

Experience in hospital pharmacy is not essential, and on-site training in the roles required will be provided. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy team environment, have personal commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills.

Ideally, applicants will either hold a National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician), or be training towards this qualification; however applications from appropriately qualified candidates wishing to undertake the National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) may also be considered.
