We seek to recruit a community geriatrician to join the Health in Ageing team at the Bay of Plenty District Health Board, which is now committed to developing its specialist services for older people.

This post has been created to meet future challenges in the provision of service in this district. You will be joining colleagues in providing a comprehensive range of community and specialist hospital services to a population of 200,000. Duties include supporting the newly created inter-professional community response team, advice to fellow specialists, general practitioners and internal and external referrals. Key links will include primary health organisations, community clinical teams, residential care, home based support, Planning and Funding.

We are looking for expert, enthusiastic, dedicated pioneers, in providing better services for the older people in our region.
